First Silverware of The Season
Today we awarded our first silverware of the season to our Player of the Month and Colt of the Month for the period of April/May.
The contenders for Colt of the Month were....
Joe Bird (u15) - Three good innings including a 37* for the 3's and a 91* for the U15's
Charlie Figg (u9)- Strong bowling and batting in the opening games and keeping his wicket intact. High score of 19*
Sophia Mitchell (u11) In her first competitive game bowled very consistently taking 2 wickets at a key stage.
Luke Reeve (u13) totalled 80 runs in two saturday 4th team games and a 40 for U13's
Lawrence Wright (u12)- 3 Peter Coe Cup games opening the batting and setting a platform each time with 153 runs with one not out.
However, after much deliberation our panel's award goes to the u12 batting partner of Mr Wright who scored 166 runs with two not outs and a high score of 75*
The Colt of the Month is Henry Miller.

Moving on to the club Player of the Month for Apr/May.
The nominees were as follow:-
Alec Baldwin - 274 runs including 3 fifties and an average of 45.67 as well as 9 wkts
Cameron Blackboro - debut season in mens cricket. Plenty of character and 6 wickets
Max Bryant - 259 runs including 2 fifties and an average of 43.17 as well as 3 wkts
Holly Cheek - 8 wickets for the Ladies and a top score of 20 with the bat
Michael Foster - 13 wickets in 2 match winning performances
David Richardson - A mammoth 93 overs bowled and 11 wickets.
Ross Walpole - 346 runs with 5 fifties from 7 innings. Average of 69.20
Lots of contenders then that would ordinarily have been winners BUT our panel could not look beyond a man that has scored a sensational 502 runs including 2 hundreds and 2 fifties with an average of 83.67 as well as taking 6 wickets.
The Player of the Month is awarded to Chris Harris.
