Today the season finally started!
At Drapers today, two-inter club friendlies were held, involving 44 members from across the club' Saturday sides.
In Game A, Team Smudge narrowly defeated Team Bains by 7 runs. A closely fought contest saw Cameron Blackboro top score with 35, while Joe Figg made 29.
In the second match, Team Ando beat Team Pugh by 45 runs, with captain Matt Anderson leading the way with 81, while Ross Walpole made 62. Jack Plumb then took 3 wickets, before Jamie Brown made an unbeaten 40 to show some low order resistance.
Well done to everyone who made the day possible, to all the players who took part and to the supporters who came down to Drapers to see some action.
The club is hoping to announce plans for the coming weeks fixtures as soon as possible.
