Amongst a disappointing start to the club's season (five losses in seven games) the Fourth XI managed to pull off a huge nine wicket win over Earls Colne thanks to Matt Shinn.
In the first game of the Fours' season, Matt scored 102 of the 169 required runs and carried his bat. Mention should also go to fellow opener Richard Buckby (44) and bowlers Cameron Blackboro (3-16), Joe Bird (3-18), and David Richardson (3-33) for their contributions.
Taking away twenty points, the Fours have made the perfect start to their season.
